Online Teaching and Communication Platform during an Emergency

According to the notification of very poor air quality and the outbreak of Covid 19, the UTCC Academic Affairs would like to suggest all staff members prepare the online teaching and communication channels for students in the case of an emergency, e.g., university close or student’s leave of absence as follows:

iTunes u

iTunes U App allows the students to attend the class using iPad. Lecturer can create the course via iTunes U App at https://itunesu.itunes.apple.com/ coursemanager/

Office 365-forms

Microsoft Forms can be used to create the quiz and survey forms at https://www.office.com/. For using this system, students can login using their own utcc accounts.

Moodle

The online course and quiz can be created using moodle e-Classroom system at http://moodle.utcc.ac.th/. For using this system, students can login using their own utcc accounts.

Google Form and other Social media apps

Any application can be Used for communication, assignment submission and other activities, e.g., Line, Facebook, Messenger, wechat, G+, Google Drive.

Remarks

  • For students returning from infection-risk countries or area, please contact the instructors, advisors or classmates concerning the necessity of self-quarantine at home in order to be exempted from class absence (from the Announcement on 3 March 2020).
  • The instructors can use online teaching and communication channels as shown above and also change teaching method and activity as appropriate. However, the approaches for teaching and doing activity should be sufficient for learning objective and quality assessment.

1. using Screen recording with iPad

To record your screen:

  • Go to Settings > Control Centre > Customise Controls, then tap next to Screen Recording.
  • Swipe up from the bottom edge of any screen. On iPhone X or later or iPad with iOS 12 or later, or iPadOS, swipe down from the upper-right corner of the screen.
  • Press deeply on grey record icon and tap Microphone.
  • Tap Start Recording, then wait for the three-second countdown.
  • Open Control Centre and tap red record icon. Or tap the red status bar at the top of your screen and tap Stop.
  • Go to the Photos app and select your screen recording.

2. using Screen recording with Camstudio

To record the screen, various methods can be used.  CamStudio is an open source that is able to record all screen and audio activity on your computer. To use this software, you can download the file from http://camstudio.org/ . After installation, you can use CamStudio to record screen and audio activity on your computer, it is easy to use and navigate.
